The school encourages a huge variety of activities in the Physical Education Curriculum for all our students.
We do not have a huge space for indoor activities such as a Hall however we access Skerries Community Centre on Wednesdays. Those students who can transition take part with their classmates in weekly PE session led by their teachers ans supported by their class SNAs.
The school also currently has a wonderful secure playground and playing pitch for ball games such as soccer.
The playground has equipment such as a climbing frame, slide, swings and a zip –line.
The school also has invested in 4 go-karts which are stored in the shed at the rear of the playground. We also have bicycles that were donated from Fingal County Council coming out of Covid. These are very popular with the student population and enable all students to learn to cycle a trike and control it correctly.
School Athletics Team
Two of our SNAs, Sharon and Penny, started an athletics team in 2021. Students are encouraged from each class to partake and give it a try. From these sessions, a team is developed throughout the year. They train weekly, generally on Friday afternoons and weather dependent.
